WWAP at IFAT Entsorga 2012

he fair is one of the world’s largest trade fairs for water, sewage, waste and raw materials, with around 110,000 trade visitors from over 185 countries. As in 2010, UNW-DPC will facilitate the presence of UN-Water at IFAT Entsorga in Munich from 7-11 May 2012.

On 9th May, Olcay Unver, WWAP Coordinator, will present the findings and key messages of WWAP’s primary product, the 4th edition of the World Water Development Report (WWDR4), ‘Managing Water under Uncertainty and Risk’, launched in March this year. WWAP will also be exhibiting in the UN-Water area, along with 11 other UN-Water agencies.

The three-part UN-Water seminar that will take place on Wednesday 9 May will feature:
1) UN-Water Project on the "Safe Use of Wastewater in Agriculture", 9:30am–11:00am
2) Launch of the book "Water and the Green Economy: Capacity Development Aspects", 11:30am-12:15pm
3) An overview of the WWDR4 "Managing Water under Uncertainty and Risk", 12:15pm-1:00pm

Information on WWAP, and UN-Water, its members, partners, programmes and projects will be available to visitors at the UN-Water Center, an open space area covering 200 square meters.
