The United Nations World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP), a flagship programme of UN-Water hosted by UNESCO, is very proud to announce that the 4th edition of the triennal World Water Development Report (WWDR4) was launched between 3.00pm -4.30pm 12 March 2012, on the first day of the 6th World Water Forum.
The Report has been launched by Irina Bokova, UNESCO Director General, and Michel Jarraud, UN-Water Chair and Secretary General of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The ceremony included speeches from other high level speakers, and the WWAP Coordinator, Olcay Ünver, made a presentation on the findings of this key UN Report.
The 6th World Water Forum is held in the Parc Chanot - Palais des Congrès et des Expositions de Marseille. Located in the 8th District, in the centre of Marseille, a few minutes from the beaches and the Old Port, the Parc Chanot covers 170 000 sqm and comprises a convention centre and an exhibition centre.
