Caring and Learning Together: A Case Study of Jamaica
The report “Caring and Learning Together: A Case Study of Jamaica” was prepared for UNESCO by Jennifer Jones, Audrey Brown and Janet Brown. It focuses on the administrative side of integration of early childhood development under the education ministry but also addresses the role of other Jamaican players.
The Jamaica case study is published within the Early Childhood and Family Policy Series as N° 21 and is part of the “Caring and Learning Together: Cross-National Research Project on the Integration of Early Childhood Care and Education”, implemented as part of UNESCO’s 2008-2009 biennial programme. Co-funded by UNICEF, it is one of several country reports on integration processes, specifically the integration of early childhood care and education services under Ministry of Education auspices.
