Final Report: UNESCO JFIT StResCom Regional Workshop on “Hydro-Meteorological Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation for Coastal and Small Island Communities”
This final report summarizes a regional workshop which was held from 1 to 3 March 2011 in Jakarta to introduce the UNESCO JFIT StResCom project to stakeholders and to secure their participation in project development and participation.
The “Strengthening Resilience of Coastal and Small Island Communities towards Hydro-meteorological Hazards and Climate Change Impacts (StResCom)” project was initiated by the UNESCO Jakarta Office and is funded by the Japanese Government through the Japan Funds-in-Trust (JFIT). It aims to reduce disaster risks and increase the resilience of coastal and small island communities against hydro-meteorological hazards and climate change impacts.
Timor-Leste is one of the three project countries and relevant stakeholders from the small island country took part in the workshop.
