Report: UNESCO Pacific World Heritage Workshop (5-9 September 2011 in Apia, Samoa)
This document is the final report of the 4th Pacific World Heritage Workshop which took place in Apia, Samoa in September 2011. It summarizes the discussions and workshop outcomes and includes the updated Pacific World Heritage Action Plan (2010-2015). Additionally, reports of Pacific countries and territories inform about recent developments and issues of heritage conservation in different national and local contexts.
The workshop is part of a series of events directed at heritage preservation experts and aims at addressing the under-representation of the region on the World Heritage List as well as tackling the special challenges of heritage preservation in the Pacific.
