Sandwatch: Adapting to Climate Change and Educating for Sustainable Development
This new, revised edition of the Sandwatch manual, made possible through the generous support of the Government of Denmark, builds upon more than a decade’s experience of Sandwatch practitioners across the globe – teachers, students, universities, community groups, government agencies and individuals. It integrates the issue of climate change into all chapters and activities presented in the first edition, and adds a number of new activities, including a guide to documenting and sharing Sandwatch results through the use of social networking websites and other online resources.
This new edition, which provides information on beach monitoring and climate change for enhancing beach resilience, was launched in Cancun at the joint UN side event on climate change education and public awareness.
