UNESCO will award students and teachers for essays and drawings on Energy
This year, the Essay and Drawing Contest call for works to answer the following question: Which is the best source of energy for our future?
Students can submit works until September 3.
UNESCO in Brazil announces the theme for the Essay and Drawing Contest 2012 of the World Science Day for Peace and Development: "Which is the best source of energy for our future?". This is an activity promoted in order to celebrate two dates established by the United Nations, the World Science Day for Peace and Development (November 10) and the International Year of Sustainable Energy for All (2012).
Directed at high school students and their teachers, the Contest has two categories: Essays and Drawings. This initiative is promoted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in partnership with institutions from the field of education and science.
Students may submit their essays or drawings until the 3rd of September 2012. Application forms and rules of the Contest may be consulted through the site: http://eventos.unesco.org.br/diadaciencia
In last year's edition, UNESCO received 120 essays and 440 drawings from all over 22 Brazilian states.
