Airbus Fly Your Ideas Video Competition
Airbus Fly Your Ideas challenges students across the globe to develop new ideas for the eco-efficient aviation industry of the future. This year’s challenge, organized under the patronage of UNESCO, focused on innovation and inspired over 6,000 students from 82 countries to register with 618 teams submitting a proposal. The proposals had to cover one of six themes identified by Airbus as key 21st century challenges: Energy, Efficiency, Affordable Growth, Traffic Growth, Passenger Experience, and Community Friendliness.
Five excellent proposals –and teams- made it to the final. The shortlisted video teams are from Australia, China, Germany, Kenya and Spain. These videos illustrate the unique nature of Fly Your Ideas: it gives students the chance to develop teamwork, enhance their creativity and innovation skills, and improve project management as well as presentation skills.
The Fly Your Ideas 2013 Video Competition champions were Them Alma, from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
