New publication studies science and education policies in Europe
27 May - Published this month by UNESCO’s Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe, Science and Education Policies in Central and Eastern Europe, Balkans, Caucasus and Baltic Countries provides insights into the linkages between higher education and research and their importance for the development of a knowledge society in the countries under study. However, experiences from other regions are also included. The following topics are addressed throughout the volume, which is published within UNESCO’s Science Policy Series: strengthening the international impact of national research and education programmes; enhancing research in higher education; developing a knowledge economy; best practices on stemming and reversing ‘brain drain’.
