World Map of Biosphere Reserves developed by the German, Austrian, Swiss and Luxembourg Commissions for UNESCO.
The German, Austrian, Swiss and Luxembourg Commissions for UNESCO developed the current world map of UNESCO Biosphere Reserves in German. The double-sided map includes the location and names of all biosphere reserves, as well as an overview of the objectives, tasks and structures of these areas.
The world map is foremost a product of the German Commission for UNESCO and includes the biodiversity hotspots of ‘Conservation International’, the tipping points of climate change, and the world's megacities and regions threatened by water shortage. In addition, to the world map it includes a common map of biosphere reserves in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
