UNESCO exhibition on climate change effects on mountains presented in Cusco, Peru

Exhibition ‘Climate change impacts on mountain regions of the world’ in Cusco.

The exhibition ‘Climate change impacts on mountain regions of the world’ was developed jointly by  UNESCO’s Man and Biosphere Programme and the International Hydrological Programme, with the generous support of the Government of Flanders (Belgium). The exhibition shows satellite images from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), the European Space Agency (ESA), the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and Planet Action, and highlights the critical functions of mountains, and the implications of climate change for mountain ecosystems, water resources and livelihoods.

The exhibition was presented during the World Mountain Forum 2014 (Cusco, Peru, May 2014) and it's currently shown at the National University of San Antonio Abad in Cusco.
