Global Microscience experiments in Niger, January 2013

Within the framework of the implementation of the Global Microscience Experiments Project, the Science Education unit organized a workshop in Niamey, Niger on 3-5 January 2013.

During the workshop, teachers were trained to use Microscience kits in class. Students form the Lycée Kasai of Niamey had an opportunity to conduct these experiments. 

This workshop was organized in partnership with the International Islamic Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ISESCO) in close cooperation with the National Commission of Niger and the “Guri Vie Meilleure”  Foundation, an NGO aiming at increasing Girls’ Education, which is chaired by Madame Issoufou Aissata, First Lady of Niger.

The opening ceremony took place on 3 January 2013 at the Congress Palace of Niamey in the presence of Her Excellency Ms. Ali Mariama Elhadj Ibrahim, Minister of National Education, Literacy and the Promotion of National Languages, His Excellency Mr Mamadou Diallo Youba, Minister of Secondary and Higher Education and Scientific Research. Education and Scientific Research and a representive of the governor of the region of Niamey.
