International Workshop on Applying Standards and Addressing Interoperability: Digital Libraries in a Networked World

UNESCO New Delhi, in collaboration with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), is organizing an experts' discussion and workshop on the theme 'Applying Standards and Addressing Interoperability: Digital Libraries in a Networked World'.

The event will be held at the Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on Thursday, 28 November 2013, and is part of the International Conference on Digital Libraries 2013, being organized by TERI in New Delhi on 27–29 November. The latter is the fourth ICDL, and the theme for this year's conference is 'Vision 2020: Looking Back 10 Years and Forging New Frontiers'. 

The UNESCO–TERI workshop will focus on (a) the different contexts in the domain of digital libraries (DLs) where the application standards is essential; and (b) strategies for resolving key issues related to interoperability in the context of DLs. The event will be attended by librarians, practitioners of information science, publishers, academics, researchers, and developers of technological solutions.
