Sub-regional workshop on South-Asia Silk Road

UNESCO New Delhi joined the workshop convened by World Heritage Centre and UNESCO Kathmandu to explore the opportunity for a Silk Road World Heritage nomination in South Asia.  

Delegates from China, Bhutan, India and Nepal exchanged the existing research data and discussed views on corridor for potential nomination. While the exact scope of nomination is to be determined, the countries confirmed their interest to collaborate towards a transnational World Heritage nomination.
