25th Anniversary of the ICC-Angkor/Visit of UNESCO Director General

The meetings of the 31st Technical and 25th Plenary Sessions of the International Coordinating Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of the Historic Site of Angkor (ICC-Angkor) were held respectively on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 December 2018, at Sokha Siem Reap Resort & Convention Center and were the occasion to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the ICC-Angkor, in the presence of Madam Audrey AZOULAY, Director-General of UNESCO and several high ranking personalities from the governments of France and Japan .

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the ICC-Angkor, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia honored the event with his presence by delivering the opening speech on 4 December and His Majesty Samdech Preah Bâromneath NORODOM Sihamoni, King of Cambodia deigned to preside over the closing ceremony on 5 December, in the presence of Madam Audrey AZOULAY, Director-General of UNESCO and several high ranking personalities from the governments of  Cambodia, France and Japan at the Elephants Terrace in Angkor Park where around 500 guests from around 38 countries represented respectively by their ambassadors  and other national and international institutions were invited.
