UNESCO World Day for Audiovisual Heritage

@UNESCO/Chanthul Suos - Audiovisual World Heritage Day
Audiovisual heritages are sources of the World’s history and cultures, and it is necessary to preserve and make them accessible to the world. Cambodian audiovisual resources are an expression of the cultural identity of its people, and because of their educational, cultural, artistic, scientific, and historical value, they form an integral part of Cambodia’s cultural and historical heritage. These resources play an important role as a source of conversation and communication, and act as a catalyst for dialogue and mutual understanding among the Cambodian people—and the people around the world. Every year on 27th of October, UNESCO Office in Phnom Penh, in collaboration with Bophana Center, celebrates the UNESCO World Day for Audiovisual Heritage.
