Coordination and Harmonization

@UNESCO - HIV/AIDS Coordinating with Stakeholders

The UNESCO Phnom Penh office works with many stakeholders – Cambodian national and sub-national authorities, international organizations, other UN agencies, NGOs, community-based organizations – to design, implement and monitor the response to HIV/AIDS. To avoid duplication and gaps, stakeholders have to coordinate their efforts through sustained communication.

UNESCO Phnom Penh is a member of several forums such as the Government-Donors Joint Technical Working Group, the Joint Technical Working Group on HIV and Education, the Joint United Nations Team on HIV or the Development Partners Forum on AIDS.

These forums act as a platform to exchange knowledge, to share information and good practices and to define strategic orientations and priorities related to HIV.
