Lion statues destroyed

Two statues of lions, originally from the Arslan Tash archaeological site near Aleppo, have been deliberately destroyed

The lions which were moved from Arslan Tash to the Rashid gardens, located in the city centre of Raqqa in the 1980s, have been destroyed by a bulldozer as evidenced in the photographs.
