UNESCO meets with the Chilean Minister of Health to initiate collaboration in health education

Within the framework of shared priorities for the well-being of young people, on August 14, 2019, Mary Guinn Delaney, UNESCO Regional Advisor on Education for Health and Welfare for Latin America and the Caribbean met Jaime Mañalich, Minister of Health of Chile, at the Ministry of Health. The event addressed a collaboration in the design and implementation of a program aimed at empowering young people in making autonomous, informed and responsible decisions in their self-care and that of others.

During the second part of 2019, work meetings will be convened between experts in adolescent health issues and the relevant teams of the Ministry of Health to review the experiences of participatory programs and design activities of this type, that are also informative and fun, to be implemented at the community level.
