Diversidad Cultural. Materiales para la formación docente y el trabajo de aula. Volumen III.

This is the third of three volumes devoted to analysing the education policies of five Latin American countries (Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru) from the perspectives of pertinence, co-existence and a sense of belonging.

This volume comprises a compendium of educational material - designed for teachers and students - on five topics relevant to cultural diversity.

All this work is grounded in the conviction that the only genuine way of improving the quality of learning is to draw on the wealth and uniqueness of our cultural identities. For culture is the primary source of knowledge. An education that simply ignores the cultural assets of students and the cultural context wherein learning takes place is doomed to become irrelevant
