Ms Azam Iraji Zad (Islamic Republic of Iran, 1st mandate ends 31/12/2017) holds a PhD in Physics from the Physics and Astronomy Department of the Sussex University (UK) and Postdoctoral diploma in surface physics from the same University. She is Professor at the Department of Physics of the Sharif University of Technology, Chairperson of the Institute for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
Mr Workineh Kelbessa Golga (Ethiopia, 1st mandate ends 31/12/2015) is Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. He is a former Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and a member of the executive committee of the International Development Ethics Association and the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal Environmental Ethics.

Mr Luka Omladič (Slovenia, 1st mandate ends 31/12/2015), Rapporteur of COMEST, is a lecturer at the University of Ljubljana and President of the Slovenian Philosophical Society.
Ms Deborah H. Oughton (Norway, 1st mandate end 31/12/2017) is Professor at the University of Oslo, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. She has been member and Vice Chair of the National Ethics Committee for Science and Technology from 2006 to 2014, as well as member of the Ethics Advisory Board for Patents and the Norwegian Academy of Sciences Climate Panel.
Ms Marie-Hélène Parizeau (Canada, 1st mandate ends 31/12/2015), Vice-Chairperson of COMEST, is a Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Université Laval (Québec City). She has led the Groupe de recherche en éthique médicale et environnementale since 1987.
Mr Abdoulaye Sene (Senegal, 1st mandate ends 31/12/2015) is an environmental sociologist and currently the coordinator of the research and learning Unit "Ethics, Governance, Environmental and Social Responsibility" within the Environmental Sciences Institute at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar and chairperson of the African Francophone Group of environmental Ethics.
Ms Grace Sirju-Charran (Trinidad and Tobago, 1st term ends 31/12/2017) is Professor and Senior Lecturer of Biochemistry at the Department of Life Sciences of the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. She is member of the Trinidad and Tobago National Commission for UNESCO and Chairperson of the Commission’s Bioethics Committee.
Ms Susana Sommer (Argentina, 2nd term ends 31/12/2015) is a Biologist. Professor in Bioethics in Science at the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas (Faculty of Exact Sciences), University of Buenos Aires. She is Member of the Advisory Board on Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine at the Ministry of Science and Technology, Argentina, since 2006. Her books and articles show her concern for ethical aspects of assisted reproduction, biotechnology and women´s issues.
