The third meeting of the Forum’s Steering Committee took place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris (France), from 31 May to 1 June 2010.

The main objectives were to discuss the follow-up to the Forum’s Recommendations on migration in the Arab-African world, to validate the Statutes of the Forum, and to discuss a medium-term plan of action (6 years).

Two thematic sessions were dedicated to the topics “Arab-African relations in a globalized world: assessment and future perspectives” and “Democracy and human rights in the Arab-African world: what is UNESCO’s role?”.
