• Against discrimination: Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women - CEDAW
  Adopted and opened for signature, ratification and accession by UN General Assembly resolution 34/180 of 18 December 1979. Entry into force: 3 September 1981, in accordance with Article 27(1).

• Against discrimination: Declaration on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women - UN
  Proclaimed by UN General Assembly resolution 2263(XXII) of 7 November 1967.

• Against discrimination: Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women - CEDAW
  Adopted by UN General Assembly resolution A/54/4 on 6 October 1999 and opened for signature on 10 December 1999, Human Rights Day. Entry into force: 22 December 2000.

• Education: Convention against Discrimination in Education - UNESCO
  Adopted on 14 December 1960 by the General Conference of UNESCO at its 11th session, held in Paris, France.

• Family: Workers with Family Responsibilities Convention - ILO
  Formally entitled Convention (No. 156) concerning Equal Opportunities and Equal Treatment for Men and Women Workers with Family Responsibilities, the Convention was adopted by the International Labour Conference on 23 June 1981. Entry into force: 11 August 1983, in accordance with Article 13.

• Human trafficking: Convention for the Suppression of the Traffic in Persons and of the Exploitation of the Prostitution of Others - UN
  Approved by UN General Assembly resolution 317(IV) of 2 December 1949. Entry into force: 25 July 1951, in accordance with Article 24.

• Labour: Convention (N° 45) Concerning the Employment of Women on Underground Work in Mines of all Kinds - ILO
  Adopted by the General Conference of the International Labour Organisation on 21 June 1935 at its 19th session. Entry into force: 30 May 1937, in accordance with Article 6.

• Labour: Equal Remuneration Convention - ILO
  Formally entitled Convention (No. 100) concerning Equal Remuneration for Men and Women Workers for Work of Equal Value, the convention was adopted on 29 June 1951 by the International Labour Conference at its 34th session. Entry into force: 23 May 1953. 

• Labour: Night Work of Women Convention (Revised) - ILO
  Adopted by the General Conference of the International Labour Organisation on 9 July 1948 at its 31st session. Entry into force : 27 February 1951, in accordance with Article 14.

• Labour: Protocol of 1990 to the Night Work (Women) Convention (Revised) - ILO
  Adopted by the International Labour Conference on 26 June 1990 at its 77th session.

• Labour: Recommendation ( N° 13) Concerning Night Work of Women in Agriculture - ILO
  Adopted by the International Labour Conference on 15 November 1921.

• Labour: Recommendation (N° 4) Concerning the Protection of Women and Children Against Lead Poisoning – ILO
  Adopted by the General Conference of the International Labour Organisation on 28 November 1919.

  Adopted by the General Conference of the International Labour Organisation on 23 June 1981 at its 67th session.

• Marriage: Convention on Consent to Marriage, Minimum Age for Marriage and Registration of Marriages - UN
  Opened for signature and ratification by UN General Assembly resolution 1763 A (XVII) of 7 November 1962. Entry into force: 9 December 1964, in accordance with article 6.

• Marriage: Recommendation on Consent to Marriage, Minimum Age for Marriage and Registration of Marriages - UN
  General Assembly resolution 2018 (XX) of 1 November 1965

• Maternity: Maternity Protection Convention - ILO
  Convention concerning the revision of the Maternity Protection Convention (Revised), 1952. Entered into force on 7 February 2002.

• Nationality: Convention on the Nationality of Married Women - UN
  Opened for signature and ratification by UN General Assembly resolution 1040 (XI) of 29 January 1957. Entry into force on 11 August 1958, in accordance with article 6.

• Political Rights: Convention on the Political Rights of Women - UN
  Opened for signature and ratification by UN General Assembly resolution 640(VII) of 20 December 1952. Entry into force on 7 July 1954, in accordance with article 6.

• Violence: Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women - UN
  UN General Assembly resolution 48/104 of 20 December 1993.

• War situations: Declaration on the Protection of Women and Children in Emergency and Armed Conflict - UN
  Proclaimed by UN General Assembly resolution 3318(XXIX) of 14 December 1974.
