Marta Kollárová is the Vice-rector for Science and Research of Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovak Republic. She was born in Piešt’any, Slovak Republic.
From 1965 until 1970, Mrs Kollárová followed her studies of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Comenius University, and then in 1982 she obtained a PhD from Comenius University, Bratislava.
Professor Kollárová served as a Lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry at Comenius University from 1970-1994, during the same period, in 1982-1990 she was appointed as Head of the Department of Biochemistry, Institute of Molecular Biology at the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava, in 1985 she was an associated professor at the same department.
From 1990 until 1998, she was the Deputy Head of the Department of Biochemistry at Comenius University and a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
In 2001, Mrs Kollárová obtained the degree of Doctor of Sciences at the Slovak Technical University, and served as of the Department of Biochemistry at the Comenius University from 1998-2005.
