GEObs Database 1: Who’s Who in Ethics

Information for this database of the Global Ethics Observatory (GEObs) is collected using a standardised questionnaire. Submitted questionnaires are then validated through a peer review process based on a combination of the following:

  • Recent publications related to ethics of science and technology
  • Recent research projects related to ethics of science and technology
  • Level of ethics component in the individual’s educational background
  • Extent of ethics involvement in the individual’s professional background and activities

Submissions that do not meet the above criteria are included in the Division’s mailing list to receive announcements of new publications or upcoming activities.

Data collection for this database is a continuous process and ethics experts are invited to submit their data for consideration. An electronic copy of the questionnaire can be obtained by sending an email request to geobs(at)

Respondents are reminded that they should provide at least one ethics related publication or research project, making sure that all information requested has been supplied. There is usually a delay in processing questionnaires with missing or incomplete information.
