• The Cuban National Commission for UNESCO, the National Liaison Committee of the Management of Social Transformations (MOST) Programme, the National Council of Social Sciences, the Cuban Office of the organisation Red de Redes Intelectuales in Defensa de la Humanidad and several other institutions, organize an international philosophical event entitled "The Universal Declaration of Human Rights: 60 years after". This event is financially supported by the Government of Cuba. It will be held in the Palace of Conventions. Simultaneous interpretation will be assured in English, French and Spanish. This meeting will gather approximately 200 specialists, representatives of the academic circles and intellectuals of several countries, as well as the representatives of UNESCO and of other international organisations.

  • On behalf of the Group of Non-Aligned Countries in UNESCO, the Permanent Delegation of Cuba participated in the organization of a round table entitled “Human Rights and Cultural Diversity”, at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, on 3 December 2008.
