  • May - June 2008: Contest “Universal Declaration of Human Rights – illustrated with drawings and graphics” organised by UNESCO's Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet) in Romania.

  • May – December 2008: Elaboration of didactic materials to be used in schools for the advancement of knowledge on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

  • 4-5 July 2008: Symposium “60th years from the Adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. European conventions and nationals constitutions.” Organized by the Romanian Institute for Human Rights and the UNESCO Chair in Human Rights and Democracy of Baia Mare.

  • 7-10 September 2008: Presentation of the Universal Declaration and spreading materials on the occasion of the teachers meeting on “the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at its 60s anniversary” in Bucharest organized in cooperation with the School Inspectorate of Bucharest.

  • 20 September 2008: Summer university “Symposia within the International Human Right University”, organized, in Cheia, by the Romanian Institute for Human Rights and the UNESCO Chair in Human Rights and Democracy of Baia Mare.

  • 3-7 October 2008: Round table, exhibitions and documentary films on “Romanian and Greek partnership: the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Salonic” organized in cooperation with the UNESCO Club Elite Art and the UNESCO Center for Women and Peace in the Balkan.

  • 10 December 2008: Round table on “European Citizenship: significations and consequences” in Baia Mare organized by the “Vasile Lucian” Theoretical High School.

  • 10 December 2008: National event “Romania in the framework of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights” in Bucharest in cooperation with the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
