Conference Reporting System

MOST has developed an innovative methodology that ensures the rigorous capturing of discussions and debates for all working activities at an event (plenaries, round tables, workshops, etc. at conferences, technical meetings, fora, seminars, etc.) The system works in real time and allows immediate restitution of outcomes.

MOST Conference Reporting System facilitates the preparation of different types of syntheses (daily, thematic, cross-cutting) on all activities and enables to present a project final report during the event’s closing session. Individual records produced for each activity are also archived and indexed, which enables to quickly and efficiently extract any substance one may need to analyse particular outcomes or themes and to identify and select relevant materials for publication.

This reporting system was experimented at the International Forum on the Social Science - Policy Nexus and has been replicated at the World Forum on Human Rights. Next upcoming exercises include the UNESCO Forum on Higher Education, Research and Knowledge and the scientific conference of the Social Aspects of HIV/AIDS Research Alliance.

The system's underlying knowledge management principles are directly adapted from MOST Comparative Policy Research Tool. The latter consists of a speedy access service to policy-relevant information, with innovative functions assisting users to compare cases and assess the relevance of the policy options available.
