The Director-General on an official visit to Tanzania
From 3 to 5 February, the Director-General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, is on an official visit to the United Republic of Tanzania. The Director-General is expected to meet with a number of government officials including the Minister for Communication, Science and Technology, the Minister of Education and Vocational Training and the Minister for Information, Culture, Sports and Youth. The Director-General will also meet with the UN Resident Coordinator and the UN Country Team.
The Director-General will also pay a visit to Zanzibar where she is expected to meet with Ministers working in UNESCO’s field of competence, including the Minister of Land, Housing and Water and Energy, the Minister of Education and Vocational Training, the Minister of Information, Youth and Culture and Tourism and Sports, and the Minister of Social Welfare, Youth and Women.
