Student Organisations

These international students' associations participate in the World Commission on the Ethics of Scientific Knowledge and Technology (COMEST) Youth Forums and have the opportunity to question COMEST members on the crucial ethical questions of our times. This interaction has been key in recommending a university curriculum on Ethics of Science and Technology.

The student NGOs are a particularly valuable partner in co-authoring publications of specific scientific content and in developing related campaigns and training programmes. For example, IFMSA and IPSF also participated in the development of the Information kit ‘HIV/AIDS and Human Rights, Young people in Action’ [PDF, 1145 KB] and related trainings organized in the context of the UNESCO Youth Initiative on HIV/AIDS and Human Rights.
