Back to topIrina Bokova pays her first official visit to Lebanon
From 10 to 13 November 2010, UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova is on her first official visit to Lebanon since taking office as Head of the Organization.
The Director-General is meeting high-level Government officials such as Lebanon’s President Michel Sleimane, Prime Minister Saad Hariri, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Ali Chami. In addition, she is scheduled to meet the President of Lebanese Parliament, the Minister of Culture, the Minister of Education, and the Minister of Information.
During her stay in the country, Irina Bokova will visit the International Centre for Human Sciences (ICHS) in Byblos. She will also hold meetings with the UN Country Team in Lebanon, the staff of UNESCO’s Office in Beirut, and the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO.
