Kazakhstan contributes $175 000 to UNESCO’s Multi-Donor Emergency Fund

UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova expressed her gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for its contribution of $175000. This is Kazakhstan’s second contribution to UNESCO’s Multi-Donor Emergency Fund. Previously, Kazakhstan has contributed $250 000 to the Emergency Fund.

“UNESCO is grateful for the continuous support of the Government of Kazakhstan to UNESCO which is a sign of their strong commitment to support the activities of the Organization,” said the Director-General.

“This donation will contribute to the realization of UNESCO’s core programme priorities and reform initiatives”.
