Maria de Medeiros promotes advocacy in arts and education through meetings with local artists, such as her meeting with the famous painter Malangatana, also an Artist for Peace, at his art gallery in Mozambique. Together they attended the meeting “Arts for Education”. She recently associated the Brazilian film “O contador de historías” (The Storyteller) with UNESCO’s programme on artistic education.
