Water: What Role for UNESCO in 2014-2021

UNESCO is organizing a consultation meeting, chaired by the Director-General, with the Member States on the theme "Water: What Role for UNESCO in 2014-2021" which will be held in 22 January 2013.
This consultation meeting is also a preparation for the International Year of Water Cooperation 2013 which main objective is to raise awareness on both the potential for increased cooperation and the challenges facing water management, in light of the increase in demand for water access, allocation and services.
