Documental heritage of the resistance and the struggle for Human Rights

This Conference which forms part of the 2013 World Human Rights Cities Forum, will commemorate inscriptions relating to human rights while examining issues related to their protection and management in view of their value for humanity. Participants will explore possibilities for collaboration among institutions, as well as for raising public awareness of the importance of preserving human rights records as the foundations to peace and democracy. Discussions will focus on how to identify and protect records that reflect fundamental struggles against violence, the different methods of preservation that should be adopted and how to make the records better known.
