This workshop is intended primarily to enable a better understanding of specific aspects of female migration in Senegal, and the place and role of women in migration. It will also promote the integration of women in migration policies and national strategic documents.
The workshop is for various government departments responsible for migration, development and the promotion of women, as well as for civil society organizations (NGOs), research institutes and international organizations working in these fields.

- presentation of the context and objectives of the study;
- the role of women in irregular migration in Senegal: a case study of Dakar and its suburbs;
- Migration and gender relations in Senegal: promoting better integration of gender in migration policies.

A debate will then take place in a plenary session and working groups will be organized.

After the workshop, participants will draft recommendations to iopen up new avenues for reflection to enrich research work and help achieve the objectives.
