Men’s Role in the Fight Against Violence Against Women

This research meeting will bring together researchers, policy makers and members of civil society to discuss the ways in which men can be implicated in campaigns against violence against women.

It will build upon the success of the previous meeting, held in Pretoria (South Africa) in August 2007 on ‘Women’s Rights for Peace and Security in post-Conflict Democracies in sub-Saharan Africa’. This first meeting formed the basis for a productive dialogue with Ministers at the Forum of Ministers of Women’s Affairs of the Great Lakes Region in Mombasa (Kenya) in 2009.
