Call for entries: "Crusaders" Regional Competition

The OIF Regional Office for Central Africa (BRAC-OIF) is organizing, from 10 April to 31 August 2017, the
Fifth edition of the Regional Essay Competition 'Regards Croisés', on the theme "Citizenship", in partnership with UNESCO, the United Nations Center for Human Rights and Democracy in Central Africa (UN-UNHCR-AC), Senghor University of Alexandria and the Network of Institutions and National Structures in charge of the Francophonie in Central Africa (RESIFAC).
The 2017 edition of the "Regards Croisés" competition aims to relay the "Libres Ensemble" initiative launched in March 2016 by the Secretary General of La Francophonie, encouraging young people's commitment to promoting the culture of peace, mutual understanding, the fight against hate speech (including online) and democratic values in Central Africa. In the form of a comic strip, candidates must create original scenarios in the French language on the theme "Education for citizenship".
The best projects will be chosen based on the conditions and guidelines laid down in the Contest Rules (Articles 3 and 9), but also on the following criteria: knowledge of the subject matter, originality and relevance of the scenario, quality of the drawing, and scope of the message to target audiences.
To participate, please send to (http://continue.senghor.refer.org) your project in accordance with the rules of the competition, along with proof of residence and nationality. In case of difficulty, you can send us your file in PDF format, sharing it via Dropbox at:
cregardscroises2017@gmail.com. In this case, you must name your file in the following format: surname_firstname_country. (Example: Engandja_Kanel_Gabon).

The deadline for receipt of applications is 31st August 2017 at midnight (local time in Alexandria, Egypt).
