Workshop "Skilled Migration in Latin America. Challenge for Public Policy"

Its main objectives are to identify key issues and contradictions in migration policies in the region, and advise governments in the design of better policies and instruments to strengthen strategies which contribute to an enhanced integration of skilled Diaspora in host countries.

More specific objectives are as follows:
1) Review migration policies and tools implemented both in Latin America and the Caribbean, and elsewhere with an impact on the region;
2) Identify the factors that enable or hinder a successful relationship between skilled migrants and their host countries;
3) Develop a calendar of events to assist with the formulation of development policies for skilled migrants.
