Second International Youth Forum on Creativity and Heritage along the Silk Roads


Building on the successes of the first International Youth held in 2017, a second edition of the International Youth Forum on Creativity and Heritage along the Silk Roads 2 (IYF2) is being co-organized by UNESCO and the China National Commission for UNESCO in collaboration with the Chinese Municipalities of Changsha and Nanjing from 21 to 27 May 2018.

The Forum will provide an opportunity for 80 youth from China and countries along the Silk Roads to discuss on the themes of advancing creativity, heritage and literature for development, and mobilize their increased involvement in the cultural and creative industries and in the protection and promotion of our common heritage.

Ten international participants qualified and experienced in Media Arts will be invited to take part in the “Experience Changsha Media Arts Program”. This “Experience program” will seek to improve their techniques and knowledge in Media Arts over a 3-week period from 28 May to 15 June inclusive.

Young persons aged 18-30 from countries in Africa, Arab States, Asia and the Pacific, or Europe are encouraged to complete and submit the Call for Applications along with supporting documents to by 8 April 2018 (Beijing Time).

Selected participants will be provided with an economy class return air ticket, as well as local travel, accommodation, and meals in China.
