Water Security and Conflicts in the Arab region

The UNESCO Doha Office in partnership with Center for Conflicts and Humanitarian Studies at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies will organize a discussion Panel on Water & Conflict in the Arab region on the occasion of the World Water Day.
The UNESCO office for GCC & Yemen and the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies is co-organizing a Panel on “Water & Conflict in the Arab region”. The discussion Panel will feature a presentation and a discussion among distinguished Panelist will follow focusing on:
- The interlinkage between water scarcity and conflict.
- Efficient water governance towards peacebuilding and socio-economic stability.
- Including Risk Assessment and Management related to water security: conflicts, political instability, economic vulnerability, climate change and water-related risks, etc.
