Symphony 2030: Cultural and arts education for Inclusion

Symphony 2030 celebrates the transformational power of education and the contribution of creative arts education for inclusion. This event aims to showcase, through the voices of ministers, artists, educators and experts, how culture and arts education unlocks potential to gain confidence, understand the world and embrace values of peace, dialogue and solidarity.

In today’s rapidly changing world, the humanistic dimension of education (Sustainable Development Goal target 4.7) is an essential compass for the future. Quality inclusive education needs to transmit 21st century values alongside 21st century skills. Creative arts education is increasing recognized as a medium for transmitting these values and skills. Integrating arts education in both formal and non-formal education provides an enriched learning environment, in particular for the most vulnerable children and youth, fostering dialogue and exchange, and supporting stability and reconstruction efforts in vulnerable communities.

Organized in the margins of the UNESCO General Conference, the event aims to showcase, through the voices of ministers, artists, educators and experts, how culture and arts education unlocks potential to gain confidence, understand the world and embrace values of peace, dialogue and solidarity.

This event has been developed with the collaboration of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation and will feature the presence of its Founder, Maestro Andrea Bocelli.
