Extraordinary Session of the Intergovernmental Council (IGC) of the Management of Social Transformations (MOST) Programme

During this extra-ordinary session, the President, the six regional Vice-Presidents and the Rapporteur of the Bureau of the MOST Intergovernmental Council will be elected.

On this occasion, the last 2 books on the research-policy theoretical reflection will be launched: “Mapping out the Research-Policy Matrix: Highlights from the First International Forum on the Social Science-Policy Nexus”, and “Social Science and Policy Challenges: Democracy, values and capacities”.

Pilar Álvarez-Laso, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Sciences, will deliver the opening speech.

The UNESCO Management of Social Transformations (MOST) Programme's primary purpose is to transfer relevant Social Sciences research findings and data to decision-makers and other stakeholders.

The MOST Intergovernmental Council is composed of 35 Member States of UNESCO, elected by UNESCO's General Conference.
