The Intergovernmental Committee works under the authority of the Conference of Parties to promote the objectives and implementation of the Convention for the the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.
The activities of the 5th Ordinary Session of the Intergovernmental Committee include: Preparation of quadrennial periodic reports of Parties to the Convention; Secretariat’s report on the implementation of the second year of the pilot phase of the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD); Use of the resources of the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD); Terms of Reference for the evaluation of the pilot phase of the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD); International consultation and coordination: current state of Article 21 of the Convention; Creation of an emblem for the Convention and preparation of draft operational guidelines for its use.
