Launch of the “Bouba and Zaza” publication

Bouba and Zaza
Launching the publication “Bouba and Zaza” series in the “Childhood Cultures” collection, the Director-General of UNESCO in the presence of the President of the Conference of Ministers of Education of the African Union (COMEDAF) will show a concrete output of the World Conference on Early Childhood and Education (September 2010) and the Dakar conference (November 2009).
Starting the campaign for utilisation of this publication, this meeting will serve as a presentation of the implementation of the Basic Education in Africa Programme (BEAP and teachers issues in Africa including the Teacher Training Initiative in sub-Saharan Africa (TTIISSA).
More than 50 participants and 30 Ministers of Education of Africa will be present, including the chair of Conference of Ministers of Education of the African Union (COMEDAF) will join; 20 ambassadors and/or permanents delegates; 20 external partners and donors including ADEA Executive secretariat, private sector (Michel Lafon Education Publishing), journalist, experts in the field of early childhood care and education, basic education, teachers. From UNESCO, the Director-General and 3 assistant Director General (ED, Africa and ERI) and Education sector Directors including the Director of IICBA will be present.
