Children of Asia International Sports Games, 2008
This singular event offers a unique opportunity to promote the Olympic ideals, including fair play and tolerance, as well as to further engage young people in healthy lifestyles.
The event will unite young people from all around the world to participate and compete in 20 different sports. This year, three new sporting disciplines will be introduced: swimming, sambo and freestyle wrestling for persons with disabilities.
The event, organized by the Administration of Children of Asia International Sports Games, will be held in July 2012 in Russian Federation under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee and of UNESCO. UNESCO has awarded patronage to the Event in recognition of its potential to contribute to the achievement of an inclusive and participatory global society.
