On the occasion of International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust (27 January).
The exhibition entitled “France’s Righteous” uses many photographs and archive documents to retrace the actions and rescue efforts of some 150 of the Righteous, organized through networks or by individuals.
Following the chronology of the various stages of the Second World War, the exhibition, punctuated with video interviews of the Righteous, recalls the rescue operations led in response to the laws persecuting Jews in France, such as intervention from within the internment camps, smuggling of Jews across borders, falsification of civil or religious documents, hospitality in the villages of refuge and so forth.
