18th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to its Countries of Origin or its Restitution in case of Illicit Appropriation
The 18th Session of the Committee aims to review the developments regarding the ongoing discussions about the sculptures of the Parthenon and to further reflect on the implementation of existing international legal framework.
It will focus particularly on the issue of the looting of archaeological objects, on the review of the functioning of the Committee's Fund and on the evaluation of the implementation of the new Rules of procedure for Mediation and Conciliation.
