The State of the Planet Declaration: Science in support of Rio+20 Outcomes of the Planet Under Pressure Conference

In March 2012, the international scientific community published the first State of the Planet Declaration as part of the 'Planet Under Pressure: new knowledge towards solutions' conference in London.
The conference, designed to provide scientific leadership for Rio+20, brought together 3000 leading experts on global sustainability and global change. This side event to the informal negociatons on Rio + 20will discuss key outcomes from the conference including strengthening the science-policy interface and scientific input into the Rio+20 process and the discussions on the possible Sustainable Development Goals.
