On the occasion of the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) and UNESCO will present a book entitled "Policies for Creativity: A Guide for the development of cultural and creative industries. "
The guide "Policies for Creativity" is part of UNESCO ‘sactions to implement the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, one of whose main objectives is to create a favorable environment in which artists, cultural professionals and citizens around the world can create, produce, distribute and disseminate a wide range of cultural goods and services.

To achieve this objective, the Convention calls for the adoption of policies and measures that nurture creativity, allow creators to access national and international markets and make the products of creation accessible to a wider audience.

This guide is intended for all those who develop and implement public policies to support cultural industries, to those who support the orientation of permanent officials, legislators, technicians and advisers involved in this process.

Conceived as a contribution to the development of clusters of cultural and creative industries in the South, it was largely enriched by the Latino American and African experiences.
